This cohort will walk you throughout the entire bee season (Feb-October). You’ll learn everything you need to know to successfully get started and care for bees through a bee-centric lens. This program will include a balance of one-on-one mentorship as well as education in an intimate group setting of 8-10 other students at Onyx’s apiary in SE Portland. Through this hybrid format you’ll have the community support from your cohort members, as well as personalized one-on-one mentorship with Onyx to ensure all of your unique beekeeping questions are always answered.
What’s included:
4 group sessions 10AM-2PM (April 6th, June 29th, August 3rd, Oct (date TBD)
At minimum, monthly personal check ins via voicenotes/text - I want to know how your bees are doing on a regular basis so I can provide you with personalized support! 25% discount on additional one-on-one visits if needed
Priority for swarms (Onyx’s preferred way to source bees, cost is $300 for collection + install)
Swarm Call opportunities (you’ll be part of a cohort group chat where you’ll have the opportunity to come along on swarm calls)
