A 4 DAY RETREAT JUNE 5TH-8TH, 2025 PORTLAND, OR

Escape into the sanctuary of the hive and reconnect with nature, community, and the wisdom of the bees. Through regenerative beekeeping, meditative hive communion, and honeybee medicine, we’ll nourish our bodies and spirits while slowing into the rhythms of the natural world.

Step away from the noise of daily life and immerse yourself in the sacred world of the bees. This four-day retreat is a unique blend of hands-on beekeeping training, spiritual connection, and deep nourishment.

Together, we’ll explore regenerative hive stewardship, animistic practices, and the healing gifts of bee medicine. Through breathwork, sound healing, ancestral singing, and hive medicine making, you’ll learn to engage with the bees in a more intuitive and respectful way.

RETREAT SPACE

With nourishing meals by Wild Rose Ghee and a conscious technology detox, this retreat offers a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself and the natural world, and build lasting community. We’ll close our time together with a private screening of Amrita, celebrating the magic and wisdom of the hive.

Nestled within earthen walls shaped from the very soil beneath our feet, the straw bale home offers a deeply grounding and nourishing sanctuary for our retreat.

Just beyond its doors, a flourishing 1/4-acre garden overflows with fruit trees, berries, and an abundance of vibrant flora, creating a rich oasis for pollinators. At its heart, four thriving beehives—each designed with regenerative principles—hum with life, embodying the sacred connection between land, bees, and those who gather here to learn, heal, and reconnect with the rhythms of the natural world.

For those traveling from out of town, we offer three on-site housing options to provide a restful and immersive retreat experience. If you need lodging, please reach out to Onyx to discuss availability and details.

NOURISHMENT

by Aleya of Wild Rose Ghee

I curate deeply nourishing dining experiences, serve mothers as a postpartum care provider, and operate an herbal ghee company called Wild Rose Ghee. My style of food preparation can best be described as local, seasonal, playful and reverent. At the center of my food philosophy is the steady belief that when approached with curiosity and devotion, food holds so much power to heal, nourish, and support our unique needs. My relationship to nourishment is inspired by an ever-deepening romance with flavor, story, beauty, & this bounteous Earth we get the wild pleasure of collaborating with. My weekends are spent slinging my herbal ghee creations at local farmers markets and my weekdays are spent either in service to mothers as a postpartum chef, or retreat/event catering. With a degree in Integrative Health Sciences from the National University of Natural Medicine and a certification-in-progress with Innate Traditions, I have a rich understanding of ancestral & physiologically-appropriate principles and styles of cooking, Ayurvedic food philosophy, and folk herbalism. These systems all fuel my kitchen practices and ethos, and provide a deep appreciation for the rich food landscape we have the unique honor of being in relationship with here in the PNW.
